the chandelier project

The chandeliers in druid labs east are/were definitely not our style, and are the targets of an ongoing extinction campaign.

Yep, it really was a pink chandelier. And tied as close to the ceiling as you could get.

You know, the etched glass and brass thingy just didn't cut it.

The pawn shop motif just didn't cut it either. (This is actually a photo of the light in Mike's office, but it's the same one that was in the bath. Mike's office will eventually be rescued.)

We're still looking for a replacement for this one!

Of all the original light fixtures, this was the least painful. But it hadda go - it didn't spread enough light around the room (this photo is obviously after we removed the fixture). The Pink Room faces west and gets rather warm during the day, so we opted for a low-profile ceiling fan from Minka Aire. (Here's a hint - if you have to replace an electrical junction box in the ceiling with one that will support a fan, don't do it during the heat of the day!)

Yes, that's the infamous Bathmobile, now living on the Pink Room wall.

Another light fixture that doesn't spread enough light. It will probably get replaced with another Minka Aire fan.
