halloween 1995 invitation

This looked really good in color. But we didn't have a color printer. And the colors looked really crappy converted to black and white. So we used PrintShop's "coloring book" option. Only a few folks colored the invite; who remembers what they "won"?

This was also The Year Of The Money Pit.

The house originally had an above-ground pool, which we made the previous owners remove. Unfortunately, that's all they did – there was a 30' diameter sand pit left, which we nicknamed The Alien Landing Pad. We had finally hired a landscaping company to come and replace it with the beginnings of a flower garden.

At almost the same time, we had to replace the balcony that ran the length of the back of the house. It hadn't been cared for over the years and pieces were falling off. Whenever we'd held parties before we'd had to post signs to warn people not to go out on it.
