These are images that have previously graced the druid labs front page.
After a few days of warm weather and rain, the spiderwort by the deck exploded into blooms. |
This bizarre golfball-sized creature has taken over the cedars out back. (Some are as large as cue balls.) I was fairly convinced that a tidal wave had hit during the night, depositing these sea anemones in the trees. Of course, it would have had to be a mighty tidal wave indeed, as we are eight miles from the shore. No doubt it would have fouled up the pool a bit, too. Anyway, this creature is cedar-apple rust, on a cedar, hold the mayo. |
It was another brilliant early spring day, this time in April. We walked around the druid labs grounds, checking for newly arriving green thingies, and noticed this holly outside Cathy's office with some berries that the birds and squirrels missed. More scenes from our perambulation are in photo albums. |
